This tour has the perfect combination for a relaxing day in the jungle to learn, share and experience the lifestyle of the indigenous Embera people.

You will be able to admire the landscape while our canoe makes its way through the jungle, have the experience of walking in a tropical jungle, navigate the Chagres River and walk in a tropical jungle to enjoy after a walk the favorite waterfall of the locals and eat delicious local food.

These are some of the highlights of this day.

At 7:30 a.m. we leave your hotel to visit a community of Chocoes or Emberá Indians who settled in the Chagres National Park in the 1960s. After a drive from the city  about 90 minutes, the Indian  will be waiting for us with the canoes.

A boat trip will be made through Lake Alajuela and later they will go back to the Chagres River, everything depends on the weather conditions, volume of the river waters and physical efforts that you want to make.

You will enjoy the natural beauty of the tropical rainforest and share with the indigenous people their customs and crafts. Arriving at the village, you will be greeted by its members and will be able to explore the community and get an idea of ​​how the natives live and work. You can also play with local children and interact with members of the community. A village representative will give a short talk about the local culture, lifestyle and handicrafts, and answer questions from him. Lunch and snack included. Bring shoes with which you can walk in the river and a bathing suit to enjoy the fresh waters of a waterfall, sunscreen, mosquito repellent. We return at 1:00 p.m.

It is very important to know that access to the Cascade depends on the conditions of the river, sometimes we need to walk up to 20 minutes to reach the place or simply navigate with the canoe to the waterfall directly, but if the river grows a lot, access does not is available (this can happen at any time and, for your safety, we prefer to avoid it).
